1. No main character may be "killed off" on any day other than days randomly selected by It's Your Novel editors. "KILL DAY" will be reflected on the genre page. Please note that just because it is "KILL DAY" does not mean your submission must include the death of a character. Likewise, it does not guarantee that a submission that includes a characters death will be selected as the next entry of the story. Characters can survive "KILL DAY" and site writers/visitors should visit the forums to voice their opinions on what the fate of a particular character should be.
2. Character location is established at the inception of each story. Key characters' physical locations will be indicated each day and submitted material must correspond to those locations.
3. There is a strict 250 word limit for each submission.
4. In the nonfiction category, the topics will be chosen by the It's Your Novel editors and the category will utilize a 300 word limit.
5. Chosen authors have the option of being acknowledged or remaining anonymous. To ensure credit if chosen, please indicate your real name, user name or pen name, etc. in the filed titled "Your Email Address" when submitting.
6. All submitted material becomes property of itsyournovel.com for publishing purposes and itsyournovel.com is in no way liable for royalties or benefits for material submitted. By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are at least 18
years of age.
7. No flaming allowed on the forums. Any personal attacks or otherwise uncivilized behavior will be considered a violation of the community's rules and will result in a ban from both the forums and participation in the site.
